Helping Farmers Put Their Communities First

At Farmers Business Network, we are committed to doing everything we can to help both farms and farming communities thrive. This is why we launched the FBN® Community First Program for Canadian FBN members.

The FBN Community First Program is a true win-win. With FBN Direct®, you and other farmers in your area have the opportunity to access competitively-priced, great-value input options. And, for every dollar you spend with FBN Direct, we’ll donate a percentage of the sale to a project that matters to you in your community. This means money spent in your community stays in your community.

How it Works

1

Step One

Community First projects receive a percentage of every dollar from their geographic territory spent on inputs with FBN Direct.

2

Step Two

FBN members can submit applications to raise funds for a local project in their community. If your project is chosen, you will be the project champion responsible for driving the plans and effort that ultimately result in the success of the project.

3

Step Three

Applications are reviewed twice a year (March & October) and projects are funded for a six-month period. FBN will announce which project submissions were successful and schedule a launch meeting to get the project work started.

Recent Projects*

At Farmers Business Network, we are committed to doing everything we can to help both farms and farming communities in Canada thrive. The projects below are currently being funded through this program.

How you can get involved

If your project is chosen, you will be the project champion, driving the plans and effort that ultimately result in the success of the project. FBN will help to fund qualifying projects by donating a percentage of orders placed through FBN Direct within the geographic region.

Application forms will be reviewed by the FBN leadership team and Account Executives twice a year.
We will announce which project submissions were chosen (at the sole discretion of FBN) and schedule a launch meeting to get foundation work started.

Project cycles run for six month on the following schedule:
FALL/WINTER | Application deadline: September 15
Funding: October 1 - March 31
SPRING/SUMMER | Application deadline: March 15
Funding: April 1 - September 30

Let's Get Started!

Now it’s your turn. Think about what you’d like to see not only in your community but in the surrounding area. Consider what would deliver the most benefit. No one knows your community like you do, which is why we’re leaving this in your hands. This is as grassroots as it gets - farmers directly helping their communities. So, this is your opportunity to think big.
